Workers Hut

The Workers Hut is a open plan small cottage with double bed, kitchenette and dining table all in the one space, with the shower/toilet separated by a sliding door.

The Workers Hut is for singles or couples looking to escape the ‘noise’ of everyday life and relax in the bush.

The 40 km journey to Mt Gipps  from Broken Hill has only 10km of graded dirt road. There are plenty of spots for bushwalking or a picnic lunch.

While we have tried to make sure your stay is a comfortable as possible, you need to help us out and remember you are ‘out bush’, some things just happen that aren’t within our control, but can usually be fixed pretty quickly. You will probably get a bit dusty, but that’s usually half the fun!

“What a great find. We enjoyed the magnificent views and the sense of getting away from it all. The miner’s hut has everything you need for a comfortable but basic stay out on a station. We really enjoyed visiting the gorge late afternoon.”
“Stunning destination with views, the famous red dirt, sunrises and sunsets, big skies, beautiful walks, & close proximity to Broken Hill. Couldn’t fault the Workers Hut which was comfortable and very well catered. Sam & Dick are brilliant hosts. We really enjoyed our stay and have some fabulous memories. Thank you so much.”
“A fantastic experience in the Workers Hut on a working organic sheep station. Relaxing and peaceful with lots of outdoor walks and exploration.”
“An absolute perfect place to stay, to get away from everything for a while. The peace and quiet and the amazing walks around the property were amazing. So much to do and see without having to leave the station, and not too far from the historic Broken Hill. Highly recommended.”
