Mt Gipps Station Stay - Broken Hill Sunset Lookout
Mt Gipps Station Stay, Broken Hill NSW, Reviews
This property is the place to stay! A nice drive out of Broken Hill. The hosts are sensational such a warm welcome and only too happy to answer any questions you have. Best showers, roomy kitchen facilities and dining room with two open fires. Richard and Sam give you a tourist drive on there property which I would highly recommend doing. We will be back again – we loved our stay.
We stayed for 3 nights at Rasp’s and loved every minute! The accommodation was perfect for our family of 5 and very comfortable with everything we needed. Exploring the station was an absolute highlight as were the sunsets! Sam was very generous with her time to advise us and a pleasure to meet. We also loved the location as it was still close to Silverton and Broken Hill. We are thrilled we stayed at Rasp’s and would highly recommend it!!!
What a magical place to visit – plenty to see, amazing camping and shearers ’ quarters, unbelievable sunrises and sunsets! Our group of 5 couples had an unforgettable experience and we are coming back! Thank you, Sam and Richard!
Our very first Station Stay was perfect! Sheep, friendly cattle, salt bush, amazing gorges, stunning sunsets, lookouts, workers cottages and new friends. Sam, the Station owner is the most friendly and helpful host. Always up for a good yarn! Adventure is always round the corner when you get given a hand drawn map to the lookout and gorge.
We had a wonderful time staying at Mt Gipps Station. Sam provided a warm welcome and we were able to enjoy a glimpse of her life on the farm. The cottage accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped. The kids loved riding bikes around the farm, we enjoyed visiting the various scenic spots on the Station and had wonderful outings to Broken Hill and Mutawintji National Park. Would highly recommend a stay here.
Everything about Mt Gipps Station Stay makes for a wonderful outback experience. The location is remote and private, yet close enough to town to enjoy all that Broken Hill has to offer. Sam provides easy directions and a hassle free checkin. Pooles Cottage is a quaint, retro home with spacious bedrooms and a sunlit lounge room. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to return one day.
